History
Shakedown Circus was inspired by a true story of a little girl with imaginary friends. Much to her delight, this little girl had an entire naked circus under her bed that mesmerized her at all hours of the night. This inspired the circus themed burlesque revue and transformative performance that is Shakedown Circus. Encouraged by passionate audience members and performers this project continued. Shakedown Circus has had 6 distinct and complete live performances since 2014. Sommer Renaldo (Creative Director, Leadership Facilitator, Performance Artist and Founder of JoyBinge, Inc.) is joined by Stephen Thomas (Director) and Kimberley Mitchell-Mills (Lead Choreographer) for our upcoming live gallery: Shakedown Circus ReVamp.
